The Living Room

Erica's passion for movement was first sparked in childhood, where she was involved in year-round sports programs. Evolution from athlete to trainer became a natural progression. With CPT and FNS certifications from National Academy of Sports Medicine and MADD Dog Spinning she is an informed and well-rounded instructor. She enjoys bringing purpose, awareness and alignment into her clients workout programs, which allows them to feel stronger and more functional in their everyday lives. She advocates against a "one size fits all" approach to wellness and helps to guide her clients down a path that is the most beneficial and effective for their individual bodies.

Erica also takes incredible pride in her professional partnerships, working with entities such as Lululemon, Girls on the Run and Project FItness in various consultancy positions.

Last year, Erica took a huge professional leap opening her own studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She called it The Living Room to capture the space's comfortable, non-gym-like environment. To add to that, the space was built from the ground up by her family members (literally her mother, father, uncle, brother and other contributors) to enhance her guest's ability to enjoy an environment where they can feel both expressive and creative in their pursuit of achieving their very personal physical fitness and overall wellness goals.

The Living Room's adaptive styles of training ensure that each of her guests can utilize Erica's training programs both in the Living Room studio as well as in the comfort of their own living rooms. With this approach, she has been able to truly hone her craft at The Living Room, giving each of her guests (clients) one-on-one attention during their customized programs as well as offering a variety of originally designed semi-private group classes.

In her personal pursuits, Erica has competed in endurance events for over a decade. Finishing two marathons, two olympic-distance triathlons (one requiring a swim in the Hudson River!!), and various trail and road races.

She uses her own personal struggles and triumphs to allow her to empathize with her clients and help them find creative and safe ways to help break down their own physical barriers and create triumphs of their own.
I am a pit bull mommy! My fiance and I have 3 amazing pit bull rescues who are the heart and soul of our family. Much of our free time is spent with them as our trusty co-pilots and I wouldn't have it any other way! They are also amazing running partners and have helped me get through many training sessions.

    I've been training with Erica for a year and a half now and I learn something new each time I see her. Her workouts have inspired me to have some of the simple equipment she uses in my small Brooklyn apartment. I have fun every time I go and so have my friends who have taken small group classes with her. Highly recommend this bad ass chick who can also give you advice on running a half/full marathon and or doing a triathlon.

She connects with each and every one of her clients (including friends and family) and is supportive, understanding, but also experienced enough to bring you a customized workout that challenges you, leaving you wanting to come back for more.     Erica is hands down the most amazing trainer I have ever had. I've been seeing her for over 7 years now and I feel like I'm in the best hands when I'm in a session. She pays attention to your body, your movements, always switches things up from session to session. My core has been strengthened, my muscles have been toned, and I fully understand how to take what I learn from our sessions and apply them easily in my gym when I do solo workouts. I have a bad wrist and I only had to mention it one time years ago to Erica-from then on she kept that in mind and would base our workouts on making sure I wasn't going to put too much pressure on it or would have me avoid certain workouts that would cause me pain. She caters the workout to your individual needs, makes it fun, gets you sweating like crazy, and has you leaving happy and ready for more! I can't recommend her enough. She's the best!

    Erica is an incredible trainer and fitness instructor. I have known Erica for over a decade, and her enthusiasm is infectious. She is an incredible motivator and takes the time to listen to you when you need her the most. This side of her personality makes her a fitness instructor who cares, and one that you feel is truly on your journey with you. What is amazing is that she has honed her craft into an approach that makes it work for people - makes it easy to work out. Her approach to overall well being and fitness works to inspire others to be at their best. It's truly admirable how she has taken her craft and applies it to bring awareness to fitness and well-being in the community - like through her work with Girls on the Run. I admire her for all of the amazing risks she has taken to go after what she wants and truly respond to what is her calling.

    As an avid Martial Artist, I endure maniacal training sessions multiple hours a day, most days of the week. I thought there was little that could challenge me - until Erica trained me. Not only did she confuse the hell out of my body, she put it through as maniacal a workout as I've ever had. She put together what I might be doing in my training and did everything else. She is insanely skilled at optimizing movement in the body, restoratively and intensely, always dipping into a pool of knowledge that never, ever ceases to amaze me. She is without question my go to for all of my fitness and nutrition needs, questions and advice. If she doesn't win this thing, there's something wrong with the game.

    Erica is a fantastic trainer. She listened to my preferences and brought her own ideas to the process as well. I trained with her for several years in Williamsburg. While training with her I was in the best shape of my life. If I was still in NYC, I'd still be training with Erica. She also has a wonderful, warm and funny personality-- that makes working out actually enjoyable.

    I had the opportunity to train with Erica in Williamsburg for a year and a half. I got remarkably fitter, lost weight, laughed a lot along the way and learned more with her than with any other trainer prior. Erica lives fitness, makes the desire to work out contagious (not in my dna, trust me) and was a friend, champion, challenger and cheerleader. I have since moved away but miss her terribly and wish I could still train with her, although all that she has taught me has stayed with me since. Even if I do reps backwards and too fast sometimes. I wish everyone could train with her. She is truly an inspiration and a hard-ass bursting with love for clients. She always finds a way to get through, even when no one before could. I only wish she had an outlet to reach everyone who needs her

    Erica has an abundance of knowledge when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and living a healthy lifestyle. She is a natural motivator--her energy is absolutely contagious. She is the kind of trainer every girl can relate to, and she really does bring out the best in her clients from all backgrounds. So looking forward to her episodeā€¦I'm sure it'll be just as awesome as her classes at the Living Room.

    I worked with Erica at Maxim gym in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Erica is a highly dedicated trainer. She gives it all and has a great follow up. She's got a great attitude towards life and her outlook motivates her clients to strive for best results. She will push her clients to be the best they can be. She is simply wonderful and I would recommend her as a trainer for anyone who is looking to get their arse kicked, in the most positive way :)
